Good news for the troubled public due to expensive petrol: There is apossibility of a significant reduction in the prices of petroleum productsnext month. According to the officials of the Finance Department, due to anincrease in the value of the rupee, there is a possibility of a decrease inthe prices of petroleum products.
They said that from October 1st, for the next 15 days, the price of petrolper liter could be reduced by Rs. 11.98, while diesel could become cheaperby up to Rs. 9.17. The price of kerosene could drop by Rs. 5.58. Reductionin crude oil prices at the global level and an increase in the value of therupee have begun to bear fruit. Sources say that there is a possibility ofa reduction of up to Rs. 12 per liter in the prices of petroleum productsin the country.
Crude oil became $10.55 cheaper per barrel in the global market over thepast 15 days, and the value of the dollar decreased by up to Rs. 10 duringthe last 15 days.
