Allegations of misconduct directed at former Chief Justice of Pakistan,Justice ® Umar Ata Bandial, and the current Supreme Court judge, JusticeIjazul Ahsan, were reported as unfounded and dismissed by Justice SardarTariq Masood of the Supreme Court.
These complaints, filed by ordinary citizens, were also reviewed by JusticeMasood, who provided a legal opinion on both cases. Additionally, aseparate complaint of misconduct against former Chief Justice Saqib Nisarwas also found to lack merit.
It’s worth noting that earlier this year, the parliament decided toinitiate a reference against the former Chief Justice on misconductcharges, following a motion by PPP’s Shazia Sobia Soomro, which wasapproved by a majority vote.
