In a recent development, the Election Commission of Pakistan has once againremoved the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) foreign funding case from itspending cases list.
The hearing originally scheduled for September 26 has been postponed. Inthe previous hearing, it was explicitly mentioned that PTI was required toprovide a conclusive response to the show cause notice by August 22.
Failure to do so would prompt the Election Commission to proceed with thecase. The Election Commission also clarified that if a definitive responsewas not submitted, a final decision would be made based on the existingrecords.
