ISLAMABAD – An accountability court has turned down a plea of formerpresident Asif Ali Zardari seeking permission to meet his lawyer, GNNreported.
PPP’s co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s request for a meeting with his lawyerFarooq H. Naek in fake accounts case was heard by Judge Muhammad Bashir.
The applicant pleaded court to permit Farooq Naek to meet the PPP leaderany other day except Monday, as the lawyer was unable to meet his clientowing to his personal engagements.
Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir, rejecting the request, directed thelawyer to hold a meeting with the PPP leader on the fixed day for meetings.
While giving remarks, accountability judge said everyone was a witness howbadly the lawyer misbehaved with him last time. He added that people takeyou for granted if you are lenient.
