RAWALPINDI – A Deputy Inspector General has been identified as thefacilitator of the meeting in the Adiala Jail superintendent office.
A two-member committee formed by the Punjab government to probe into thematter of photos of Nawaz Sharif and Hanif Abbasi, has completed it report.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the man, who was sitting onjailer’s seat along with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, PML-N leaderHanif Abbasi and others in the picture, was not Jail Superintendent butDeputy Inspector General Prisons Rawalpindi Naveed Rauf.
In the light of the report, the committee conducted a search operation ineight barracks in Adiala jail over the leak pictures of prisoner HanifAbbasi with Nawaz Sharif and others but couldn’t recover any evidence.
