KABUL – In Afghanistan, at least twenty seven security force members havebeen killed in clashes with Taliban militants in southeastern Paktikaprovince.

Provincial council members said clashes, which are ongoing, startedyesterday in Argon, Wormamai and Wazi Khwa districts after Taliban attackedsecurity check posts.

They said eight border police and two local policemen were killed in aTaliban ambush in Argon and rest of the security forces were killed inother districts.
