Pakistan Army Chief gives his thoughts over national security

QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, expressedon Thursday that having withstood challenges in recent past, Pakistan isgoing through an evolutionary process of its journey to enduring peace andstability.

The military chief visited Command and Staff College Quetta and addressedstudent officers and faculty of Staff Course 2018/19.

The top commander shared his thoughts on national security and added thatthe process of enduring peace was slow but on a positive trajectory, themilitary’s media wing stated.

General Bajwa said that we need to stay steadfast and carry forward theefforts towards set national objectives. Acknowledging and hailingcontributions and performance of young officers in the counter-terrorismoperations as well as during recent standoff along the eastern border, themilitary chief appreciated the officers for their professional pursuits tomeet and prevail over future challenges of national security.

Commander Southern Command was also present on the occasion.
