ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Japan have agreed to enhance their leadershiplevel and people to people contacts to further strengthen bilateralrelations.
The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Foreign Minister ShahMahmood Qureshi and members of Japan Pakistan Parliamentary FriendshipLeague at the Japanese parliament in Tokyo today.
The two sides also agreed to explore opportunties in trade, investment andother areas of development.
The Foreign Minister acknowledged the role and efforts of Japan-PakistanParliamentary Friendship League in furthering mutually beneficial bilateralrelations.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship League Sheshiro Eto said that aparliamentary delegation from Pakistan may visit Japan at the earliest.
On the occasion, Shah Mahmood Qureshi conferred Sheshiro Eto with HilalPakistan Award in recognition of his services for promotion of relationsbetween Pakistan and Japan.
