Good News coming for Pakistan from China

*ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing on Monday said thatChina will give Pakistani exporters access to 90 percent of its marketshare under the second phase of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).*

Talking to media in Islamabad, Yao Jing said the second phase of the FTAwill be signed during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s upcoming visit to Chinato attend the 2nd Belt and Road Forum, which will start on April 25 andculminate on April 27.

“Opening of the Chinese markets for Pakistani goods will greatly help stepup Pakistani exports to China. In return, we only seek 60pc market share inPakistan,” he said.

The ambassador said during his visit to Beijing, PM Khan would holdmeetings with the Chinese leadership to discuss the China Pakistan EconomicCorridor (CPEC), apart from regional and international issues.

He maintained Premier Khan’s visit to the neighbouring country wouldprovide both the countries with an opportunity to further explore newvistas of ties.

“Both countries are set to begin the second phase of the FTA. There is acomplete understanding between Pakistan and China that the CPEC would yieldbenefits for both the countries,” he said.
