*ISLAMABAD: *Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak onMonday has clarified his remarks over the issue of “orders from above”.
He said that he was referring to party chairman Imran Khan when he toldSirajul Haq of ‘orders from above’.
Last week, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said that the PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received ‘orders from above’ to vote for SadiqSanjrani during Senate elections.
Speaking to the media outside the anti-terrorism court (ATC) afterappearance in the 2014 PTV and parliament attack cases, the KP CM said: “Iwas referring to Imran Khan when I told Sirajul Haq that we have receivedorders from above to vote for Sanjrani.”
Pervaiz added that the PTI chief had ordered the party leaders to vote forthe candidate from Balochistan since the party believes in providing rightsto the people of the province.
“Those who are levelling allegations against me can continue to do so andthe person who claims that I had paid him to vote during Senate polls,” headded.
The KP CM stressed that “nobody but Imran can order me” and that he is“extremely disappointed” with those who sold votes. “In PTI, there’s noroom for these sort of things,” he said.
