*ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the authorities concernedto provide the required security protocol to ousted prime minister NawazSharif as per rules. *
Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, who was heading a bench of theapex court, gave this order while hearing a case pertaining to thewithdrawal of security personnel from unauthorized influential individuals.
He observed that the court didn’t want to endanger the life of any person.Nawaz Sharif should be provided security as per laws, he ordered.
Justice Nisar said it is for the law enforcement agencies to determinewhether a person needs security personnel or not. “We haven’t ordered thewithdrawal of anyone’s security.”
The bench directed the police to submit a report spelling out how manyguards could be deployed for the security of an individual. He also orderedprovision of security to ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan.
The hearing of the case was adjourned for a week.
