Russia has condemned the Polish proposal regarding deployment ofinternational peacekeepers in Ukraine and warned that it could lead to adirect clash between Russian and NATO forces.

Addressing a press conference in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskovsaid that the step would be extremely dangerous, which would havecatastrophic consequences.
