WASHINGTON: US dropped charges against its former envoy Robin Raphel in spying for Pakistan.
US Department of Justice announced to file the case after failure of two year long investigation.
Robin Raphel was accused for spying for Pakistan in 2014 but she denied it.

Investigation officials claimed that case has been filed as they do not find any evidence against her.
Raphel said “It is of the utmost importance to our national security that our diplomats be able to do their work without fear that their routine diplomatic communications will be subjected to criminal investigation.”
Raphel was recruited by Richard Holbrooke and she has served as a a former ambassador to Tunisia and State Department’s coordinator for reconstruction in Iraq under President George W Bush.
