*QUETTA: **Pakistan government closed it’s borders with Iran, Pilgrimsbanned from entering Iran.*
Pakistan on Sunday closed borders with Iran following a spike in novelcoronavirus cases in the country.
Sources in the Balochistan interior ministry said that the provincialgovernment has banned Pakistani pilgrims from traveling to Iran.
At least a hundred pilgrims were called back to Quetta from the Taftanborder while special check posts have been established to monitor movement.
According to *Express News,* link Ministerfor Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri shared details of Pakistan’smeasures to curb the virus outbreak with Iranian authorities.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan called up Balochistan Chief MinisterJam Kamal Khan and discussed with him the coronavirus spread in Iran andits implications for the border province.
Kamal informed the prime minister that he is personally overseeing thegovernment efforts to prevent the deadly infestation from seeping intoBalochistan.
