MOSCOW – New developments reported over the Iranian Missile attacksagainst US Military Base in Iraq.
Additional American troops have been sent to a medical facility in Germanylink for treatment forinjuries from link theIranian missile attacklink that hit bases inIraq link in early Januarylink, the US CentralCommand (CENTCOM) has said.
On January link 8, Tehranlink fired missiles atthe facilities in Iraq linkhousing link US militarypersonnel in retaliation against the killing of toplink Iranian general QasemSoleimani link.
Initially, Washingtonlink insisted that noone was injured link asa result link of the attacklink. Last week, CENTCOMannounced that 11 troops were being treated for injuries in the wake of thestrikes.
CENTCOM updated the information late on Tuesday, saying that additionaltroops were undergoing treatment.
“As medical treatment and evaluations in theater continue, additionalservice members have been identified as having potential injuries.
These service members – out of an abundance of caution – have beentransported to Landstuhl, Germanylink for furtherevaluations and necessary treatment on an outpatient basis” CENTCOMspokesman Bill Urban said, as quoted by the CNN broadcaster.
He did not rule out that additional injuries might be identified in thefuture, “given the nature of injuries already noted.” – Sputnik
