LAHORE – Zeeshan, the car driver of the Sahiwal encounter case who was shotdead by counter-terrorism department was linked with Daesh, it has beenrevealed
Intelligence Agencies have sound proofs and evidences against him, sourceshave claimed.
According to sources, a mobile phone seized from Zeeshan shows his picturewith Usman, a high-profile Da’ish terrorist, who was gunned down in aCounter Terrorism Department (CTD) encounter in Faisalabad on January 15.
Registration documents of Zeeshan’s car have also been surfaced, accordingto which the vehicle was bought in the name of Adeel Hafeez, anotherterrorist who was killed in the January 15 encounter, they added.
On January 19, CTD in a statement that the law enforcers signalled a SuzukiAlto car and a motorcycle to stop near Sahiwal Toll Plaza on GT Road, butthey did not pull over and instead opened fire.
The police retaliated and four people, including two women, were killed bythe “firing of their own accomplices” in the ensuing firefight by,according to the CTD. The operation was a follow-up of the January 16 raidin Faisalabad and that they were tracing two wanted terrorists ShahidJabbar and Abdur Rehman who were listed in the ‘red book’, they added.
These terrorists were affiliated with the ultra-extremist Islamic State,also known by its Arabic acronym Da’ish, the CTD claimed in the statement.
