In Occupied Kashmir, Governor Satya Pal Malik has dissolved the so-called State Assembly.
In a statement in Srinagar, the Governor justified dissolving the assembly citing the reports of extensive horse trading.
Occupied Jammu and Kashmir was under the Governor's Rule since June, when the BJP- ended its ruling alliance with former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown will be observed against the killing of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader, Mir Hafeezullah by Indian troops today.
Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership.
