LONDON - Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif held meeting with the British Home Secretary and discussed matters of mutual interest
Both discussed matters including the security situation, health reforms and joint initiatives on education in Punjab – were discussed.
The home secretary said that Pakistan played a praiseworthy role in the war on terror, adding that Punjab reform programme is being brilliantly executed under Shehbaz's leadership as better results are coming out from in education and health sectors.
The chief minister on the occasion said that the UK-Pakistan relations are built on strong basis, and appreciated the UK government’s role in education and health sector.
He said that the joint efforts of Punjab government and DFID on Punjab’s provincial education reform programme are yielding positive results, adding that the Counterterrorism department’s performance in Punjab has given substantive results.
