RIYADH: Saudi Arabia arrest Shia Cleric for being pro Hizbollah

RIYADH: Saudi security forces have arrested Shia Cleric Hussein al-Radi for being pro-Hizbullah from Al-Ahsa region of eastern province of the Kingdom.

 

The report said “This is after deglorified the terrorist group Hizbullah and insulted the Kingdom in a video clip and he also broke previous pledges he had made after defending the terrorist Nimr al-Nimr following his execution.”

 

Hussein Al-Radi was arrested days after the Gulf Arab States announcement of Hizbullah as a terrorist group.

 

Saudi government announced to take strict measures against those who support Hizbullah.

 

A viral video on YouTube showed Radi hailing Hizbullah leader as a hero and Iran as regional and international power.

 

Saudi government sentenced Shai Cleric Nimr al-Nimr and three others in a group of 47 in January for terrorism charges.

 

Nimr was involved in 2011 protests against Saudi government.

 

Saudi embassy in Tehran was also set on fire by Iranian demonstrators after the execution of Shia cleric.

 

Kuwait and Bahrain have deported several Lebonese residents for alleged links with Hizbullah.

 

While UAE has arrested seven people for forming a cell linked to Hizbullah.
