NEW DELHI: India is committed to peaceful relations with Pakistan: Indian President on Pakistan Republic Day

NEW DELHI: Indian President Parnab Mukherjee extended his wishes to his Pakistani counterpart on Pakistan Republic Day that India is committed to maintain peaceful relations with Pakistan.

 

“Please accept my greetings on the occasion fn the national day of Pakistan,” the Indian President said in a letter to his Pakistani counterpart.

 

He claimed that we are hopeful for better bilateral relations between the two countries.

 

He said “India remains committed to peaceful, friendly and cooperative relations with Pakistan.”

 

He claimed that cooperation between both countries would be beneficial for the entire region.

 

Mukherjee said “I take this opportunity to extend my best wishes for your good health and well-being. Please accept, Excellency, the assurance of my highest consideration.”

 

Pakistan's President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also greeted their Indian counterparts on India’s 67th Republic Day on January 26.
