LONDON: World’s fastest man Usain Bolt announced to retire after this year’s Olympics at Rio de Janeiro.
Bolt said “It’s going to be hard to go four more years for me, to keep the motivation that I want, especially if I accomplish what I want to achieve in Rio.”
The 29-year old Jamaican star has won six gold medals in 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
He is a back-to-back winner in 100m and 200m event with 2 gold medals.
His coach Glen Mills suggested him that he can compete the next Olympics game in Tokyo in 2020 and insisted to extend his career till then.
Bolt said “My biggest dream at the Olympics is to win three gold medals again. That’s my focus, that’s what I want. And that’s what I’m aiming for because that’s my goal and that’s my dream.”
Bolt claimed that he wants to break his own record of 200m in 19.19 sec by completing it in 19 sec which was set in Berlin in 2009.
He claimed that it will definitely be the last Olympics of his career.
Bolt has won 17 times in Olympics and world events.
