ISLAMABAD - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Parliamentary Coordination Monday rejected reports of leaving the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Earlier, PM's special aide on political communication Shehbaz Gill had also said that Chan had not left the party, saying he is currently in abroad for personal engagements.
It emerged earlier today that Chan had announced to part his ways with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to details, Nadeem Afzal Chan, who is currently on leave to visit his ailing parents, has announced to leave the ruling party.
He also shared his intentions to re-join the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Nadeem Afzal Chan has already submitted his resignation from the post of special assistant to the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The decision to either accept or reject his resignation is pending.
On 15 January 2019, Prime Minister Imran Khan appointed Chan as his spokesperson, in honorary capacity. The same day, he was also appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Imran Khan on Parliamentary Coordination.
