PTI government appoints career diplomat as Ambassador in Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD - Raja Ali Ejab, a career diplomat, has assumed charge as Ambassador of Pakistan in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday (Jan 21).

Prior to this appointment, he served as Consul General of Pakistan in New York. Further, he served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Director General (United Nations) from January 2013 to January 2014, a message reaching here on Tuesday from Jeddah said.

Raja Ali Ijaz has earlir, held the appointment of Director in the Office of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (2004-2006), Desk Officer for India (1996-98) and Desk Officer for South Asisa and Pacific from (1991-92) in the Ministry.

He has also served at various overseas assignments at the Embassies of Pakistan in Kabul , Maxico and Romania.
