ISLAMABAD (APP): The High Court Bar Association (KHCBA) has staged peaceful demonstrations at Sadder and High Court complexes in Srinagar to impress upon the world community to mount pressure on India to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the Bar Association members amid pro-freedom slogans demanded India and Pakistan to engage in result-oriented dialogue on Kashmir dispute.
Talking to media, Bar Association General Secretary, Advocate Bashir Siddiq said that Kashmir dispute, pending since past seventy years, had consumed thousands of lives but the world community despite being aware of the history was maintaining silence.
"We staged this protest on the call of resistance leadership to convey to the world community that Kashmir issue needed an urgent attention as India had surpassed all the brazen limits of rights violation in disputed region," added Siddiq.
He further said that Kashmir issue demands urgent political solution for which the two neighboring countries India and Pakistan must sit together and find a lasting solution to this issue.

He said that Kashmir issue had always been bone of contention between India and Pakistan. "If this issue keeps lingering on, it will provide a room for major nuclear war which will be fruitful neither for India nor Pakistan," he said.
He appealed to the United Nation's Human Rights Council, Amnesty International and other human rights organizations of the world besides Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discharge their obligation towards the people of Kashmir to get the killing, blinding, maiming and torturing of Kashmiri people stopped forthwith.
