RAWALPINDI – Shehbaz Sharif met former premier Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in Adiala Jail on Tuesday.
The family was especially allowed to meet the incarcerated Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar on Eidul Azha.
The family members who met Nawaz Sharif included his mother, Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Salman Shehbaz, personal staff and three more people.
On July 6, Nawaz, daughter Maryam and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar were sentenced by an accountability court in the Avenfield reference. The court handed an 11-year sentence to Nawaz, 8 years to Maryam and one year to Capt (retd) Safdar, which they are serving at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
