ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced verdict in the bailpetition of the Dr Shahid Masood.
IHC rejected the bail petition of anchor person Dr. Shahid Masood who isimprisoned at Adiala Jail in connection of his alleged role in corruptionof Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) case, on Saturday.
According to local news channel report, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of IHCannounced the verdict a day after prosecution completed final arguments inthe case involving financial wrongdoings.
Earlier, on November 23rd, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) hadarrested the Shahid Masood from court premises after his previous bail pleawas had also been rejected.
The former MD PTV, who is currently behind the bars in Adiala Jail inRawalpindi, is accused of embezzlement of Rs. 30.8 Million by awardingcontract to a fake company for acquiring Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB)media rights.
