RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has warned andcautioned India over the peace initiative from Pakistan.
COAS has said on Saturday that the new government extended a hand of peaceand friendship towards India with utmost sincerity but it should not betaken as our weakness.
Speaking at the passing out Parade of 110th Midshipmen and 19th ShortService Course held at Naval Academy, Karachi, the military chief expressedthat it was the time to fight against hunger, disease and illiteracy, thento fight against each other.ADVERTISING
General Bajwa asserted that Pakistan supports Afghan-led peace plan to helpbring lasting peace in the neighboring state.
According to a communique issued by the military’s media wing, the militarychief expressed that wars bring death, destruction and misery for thepeople and ultimately, all issues are resolved on the table throughnegotiations.
“Relative peace present in the country today has been achieved aftertremendous sacrifices to restore peace and order,” he said.
