LAHORE – Punjab Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Tourism, TaimoorKhan Bhatti, has said that 30 e-Rozgaar centers have already beenestablished in the province whereas more centers are under progress indifferent parts of the province with the collaboration of PunjabInformation Technology Board (PITB) and Punjab Youth Ministry.
Those under progress are located in Nankana Sahib, Pakpattan, Jhang,Chakwal, Rajanpur and Bahawalnagar, while Taunsa, DG Khan and Rahimyar Khancenters have already been completed.
Chairing a meeting at National Hockey Stadium Lahore on Thursday, theminister told that around 64,000 youngsters have already been trained underthe project, allowing them to start their own businesses and find moreemployment opportunities.
He also announced a mega freelancing convention in Lahore for the youth,while adding that a total of Rs 870 million has been allocated for thee-Rozgaar project, out of which Rs 180 million has been allocated in thisyear’s budget.
PITB will also provide technical assistance to public sector colleges anduniversities to establish similar centers on campuses premises tofacilitate the students.
