SRINAGAR – Occupied Kashmir state assembly has been dissolved by the Indiangovernment.
India s government has dissolved the occupied Kashmir state assembly in asudden move that could lead to fresh elections and further turmoil in thedisputed region.The move, which came after two rival local alliances both staked claims toform a government in the heavily-militarised region, was seen to strengthenthe hand of the New Delhi government, which has ruled occupied Kashmirdirectly since June and is gearing up for next year s general election.
