ISLAMABAD – Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja claims that he is in astate of shock after seeing the Test squad selection.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Raja said that relying on Naseem Shah andMusa Khan to become instant stars is the wrong approach by Pakistan CricketBoard (PCB).
Although Musa Khan and Nasim Shah have potential, but they are only 18 yearold and have never toured Australia. On what basis have you selected two18-year-olds thinking they will become world beaters when they don’t knowwhat line and length to bowl in Australia.
He further elaborated on the point he made and said that Test cricket isnot the format where you have the luxury to test out youngsters because itis a difficult task even for experienced players sometimes.
You can give a chance to one young bowler but you can’t base your entireattack on them. It is understandable to give chances to youngsters in T20s,but you can’t take such big risks in Test cricket.
