PCB responds over Al Jazeera match fixing scandal involving international players including Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has responded over the Al Jazeerascandal on the match fixing case.

PCB on Monday termed report of Qatar-based Al Jazeera network onwide-spread fixing in cricket incomplete.

In a press release, PCB stated its anti-corruption unit and InternationalCricket Council (ICC) are reviewing the report. The governing body addedthat evidence pertaining to spot-fixing was ambiguous.

The statement further reads that PCB had given stern punishments in thepast in this regard.
