LAHORE – Disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday has respondedover the treason allegations.
He has stated that serious allegation as treacherous is unimaginable.
A three-member LHC full bench headed by Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi andcomprising Justice Atir Mahmood and Justice Chaudhry Masood Jahangir heardthe treason petition against Abbasi, Nawaz and journalist Cyril Almeida.
Nawaz Sharif and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi refuted treasonallegations against them as ‘unimaginable’ and ‘baseless’ in their repliessubmitted to the Lahore High Court (LHC).

In his reply submitted in court, Nawaz stated that serious allegations astreason is unimaginable. “Can those who make the country supreme betreacherous? Or can those who eliminate terrorism from the country betreacherous,” Nawaz questioned in his reply.
