TEHRAN – Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli made a telephoneconversation with his Pakistani counterpart shehryar Afridi on Saturday.
He has called for suppression of terrorists’ bastion along Iran-Pakistanborders.
The Iranian military and security forces are ready to jointly cooperatewith Pakistani security forces to maintain security of Iran-Pakistan jointborders, he said.
Referring to friendly ties between Iran and Pakistan, Rahmani Fazli calledfor providing enough facilities for Pakistani pilgrims who are to crossIran borders to Iraq for Arbaeen religious ceremony.
Pakistani interior minister, for his part, said Pakistan spares no effortto help release Iranian border guards kidnapped by terrorists.
‘We are profoundly upset by recent terrorist operation,’ he said, addingthat they will do their best to resolve the issue and expressed the hopethat such dastardly measures never severe ties between the two countries.
Pakistani patrol planes closely monitor the suspects and have very closecooperation with Iranian forces.
