PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif hoping for relief from courts

Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Barrister Zafarullah Khan has stated thatNawaz Sharif will request for a protective bail before returning toPakistan, and it’s up to the courts whether to grant bail or send him tojail. During a conversation on Geo News program ‘Capital Talk,’ BarristerZafarullah Khan mentioned that Maryam Nawaz was sent to jail following theinstructions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman.

However, they do not wish for Chairman PTI to face a similar situation injail. Leaders of the Muslim League (N) emphasized that the cases againstNawaz Sharif are still under trial, and Nawaz Sharif is yet to return. Theyhope that the Leader of the Opposition will be granted protective bail.

They also stated that until Nawaz Sharif’s return, Shehbaz Sharif’scomings and goings will continue until October 21, which is a normalpractice. They expressed confidence that Nawaz Sharif will return.Barrister Zafarullah Khan further commented on the Panama case, statingthat Nawaz Sharif faced 66 appearances in court, and Shahid Khaqan Abbasidid not request relief from NAB references.

He suggested that NAB and Pakistan cannot coexist, and NAB law isfundamentally flawed and should be abolished. He mentioned that thePresident of the country did not set an election date; he accepted theElection Commission’s date. They formed their own election committee, whichincluded Arif Alvi, Shireen Mazari, and Shafqat Mahmood. Arif Alvi was madethe chairman of the committee, and they said to Ishaq Dar that Alvi is asensible person, and whatever the committee decides will be accepted.

All the experts invited by the committee, including those from theEuropean Union, said that the EVM system is failing worldwide. After thecommittee’s review, the issue of EVMs was resolved, and now elections aretaking place. Party matters are under discussion, alliances are beingformed, and the party’s manifesto is being finalized; these matters requiredaily consultations.
