NAB rings alarm bells for corrupt politicians and bureaucracy

After the Supreme Court’s ruling declaring the amendments to the NationalAccountability Ordinance (NAO), 1999 invalid, leading to the reopening ofcorruption cases involving billions of rupees, the National AccountabilityBureau (NAB) has enlisted the assistance of intelligence agencies’personnel for these investigations.

NAB officials stated that a letter had been sent to the heads of theseagencies, seeking their cooperation following the approval of BureauChairman Lt General (r) Nazir Ahmad.

These officials, who will be serving on important positions within NAB on atemporary basis, are expected to commence their duties in the coming days.Furthermore, it was mentioned that immediate appointments would be made tofill all vacant positions within the bureau
