The leader elected to the National Assembly from Punjab on the ticket ofPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has formally announced their departure fromthe party.
Munaza Hassan, the President of PTI Women’s Wing, has joined the PakistanPeoples Party (PPP). PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed her intothe party. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that they welcome Munaza Hassan intothe party and hope that she will work within the ranks of her new politicalfamily.
Together, we will work for Pakistan. He added that they will further thecause for which they launched the movement. Munaza Hassan, in herstatement, mentioned that she had announced her departure from PTI threeweeks ago and has now joined PPP.
She said that when she joined PTI, there were only one or two women in it,and she remained part of the parliament and her party at that time.
