The upcoming National T20 Cup First XI tournament, which begins on 30September in Multan, comes with an opportunity for the country’s elitewhite ball cricketers to pocket hefty prize money with nearly Rs. 9 millionup for grabs.
The winning team will walk away with Rs. 5 million as Northern will look todefend the title.
The runner-up will receive Rs. 2.5 million, while Rs. 400,000 will beshared equally between the tournament’s top performers which include playerof the tournament, best batsman of the tournament, best bowler of thetournament, and best wicketkeeper of the tournament.——————————
The best performer of every match will get Rs. 25,000 as theman-of-the-match award while the top performer of the tournament’s finaleon 18 October will be rewarded with Rs. 35,000.
These will be over and above earnings for the players from what they willreceive as match fee and monthly retainers and is in line with the PakistanCricket Board’s policy of providing incentives to top-performingcricketers. It will enhance the quality of domestic cricket and lead to acompetitive environment while increasing the interest of the viewers.
The top-performing domestic cricketers are already in line to earn in arange of Rs. 3.2 million to Rs. 1.8 million only on the basis of theirmatch fee and improved and enhanced monthly retainer structure, which wasapproved by the PCB’s Board of Governors in their 58th meeting.
