India’s first secretary at the Indian mission in United Nations in Geneva,Senthil Kumar, said that Pakistan should first introspect before pointingfingers at others.
“Pakistan has twice chosen to divert the attention of the Council with itsimposturous political propaganda full of disinformation and gratuitousreferences about India’s internal matters today. It will be better forPakistan to set its own house in order before it speaks about others.”
Enumerating the cases of human rights violations in Pakistan, Senthil Kumarsaid, “Security forces in Pakistan have gained proficiency in unlawfulkillings and kidnapping of people in so-called counter-terrorismoperations. This has been compounded by a weak judiciary in Pakistan whichhas consistently failed to protect even the basic human rights of thepeople in Pakistan.”
This, he added, “is the plight of daughters, sisters and mothers inPakistan”.
“They say in Imran Khan’s Naya Pakistan [new Pakistan], you may not returnhome,” he said.
