The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has allowed reopening ofthe secondary schools (Class 6 to Class 8) across the country fromSeptember 23.
According to the details, The National Command and Operations Center hasgiven permission to open educational institutions in the second phase. Themeeting on the opening of educational institutions was attended by FederalMinister Asad Omar, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood, and InteriorMinister. Provincial education ministers also attended the meeting.
After the first phase, a total of 35 educational institutions across thecountry were closed after coronavirus cases emerge in educationalinstitutions.
With corona cases being reported in Sindh’s educational institutions, theprovincial government has extended the date for opening schools from sixthto eighth grade by one week.
Sindh Education Minister earlier said Our purpose is not to shut downschools permanently. We simply seek for them to mend their ways when we seethem not fulfilling their responsibility.
