Karachi – The value of the US dollar dropped marginally against thePakistani rupee in the interbank market, according to the State Bank ofPakistan (SBP).
As per the SBP’s official update, the dollar slipped by 2 paisas, closingat *Rs281.90* compared to *Rs281.92* in the previous session.
While the change appears minor, currency fluctuations play a significantrole in Pakistan’s economy. A weaker rupee increases the cost of importingmachinery, fuel, and essential goods, which can drive inflation higher andpush up the overall cost of living.
