NEW DELHI – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has complained to BritishPM Boris Johnson over Occupied Kashmir protests.
Modi has spoken to his British counterpart, Boris Johnson, aboutdemonstrations over New Delhi’s decision to strip Occupied Kashmir of itsspecial status, outside the Indian high commission in London, the Indianforeign ministry said.
Thousands of people, many waving Pakistani and Kashmiri flags, outside thehigh commission last week, on India’s Independence Day, against Modi’swithdrawal of occupied Kashmir’s special status.
Modi’s supporters and members of his ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)alleged that demonstrators had attacked Indian women and children withbottles and eggs and that British authorities had failed to thwart them.
