US President Donald Trump desires great relations with Pakistan

*WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Monday offered to mediate thedecades-long Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan, a move that wouldsignal a shift in longstanding US policy that the issue must be solvedbilaterally.*

“If I can help, I would love to be a mediator,” Trump said at the WhiteHouse, where he was hosting Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan. “If I cando anything to help, let me know.”

“We welcome PM Imran Khan in the United States.’ he added.

While talking to reporters at White House, the US President praised PMImran Khan and Pakistani nation, saying that Pakistani people are so strongand the United States desires good relations with them.

“I and Imran Khan, both are new leaders and Kashmir dispute can beresolved. We both can play a bigger role to resolve Kashmir dispute. Theresolution of Kashmir and Afghanistan issues will bring prosperity in theregion. ”

Trump said that he would definitely accept invitation to visit Pakistan.

He said that the US government is well-aware of tensions between Islamabadand New Delhi. Trump confirmed that the tensed ties between theneighbouring countries will also come into discussion during the meetingwith PM Khan.

“My meeting with PM Imran Khan was very productive. Imran Khan is the mostpopular prime minister of Pakistan.”
