ISLAMABAD – National Accountability Bureaulink(NABlink)Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has so far resolved over 3,000complaints of the aggrieved people.
According to NABlinkspokesmanThursday, the chairman himself started listening to the complaints ofaggrieved people on every last Thursday of every month immediately afterassuming the charge of his office.
He said NABlinkhadreceived 44,315 complaints last year. As many as 600 persons were arrestedby NABlink,whereas 590 corruptionlink references hadalso been filed in various accountability courts.And 1,210 corruptionlink referencesinvolving looted amount of Rs900 billionlink were also indifferent stages of hearinglink at differentaccountability courts. The conviction ratio of culprits by NABlinkwas70 percent.
He said NABlinkalsotaking strict action against illegal housinglink societies as perlaw. NABlinkhasreturned life-earned looted moneylink of poorlink of housinglink societies.
