Indian Army has killed more civilians than militants in occupied Kashmir: Top Indian leader

NEW DELHI – BJP attacked Congress after militant organisation LeT backedhis remarks on Kashmir. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said at apresser.

He said: “Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the army iskilling more general people than militants in Kashmir. His remarks are veryembarrassing, unfortunate, and irresponsible.”

He said: “Ghulam Nabi Azad insulted Indian Army by saying that Army killingmore civilians than militants”

He added: “Lashkar-e-Taiba is supporting the language of which the languageCongress leaders are speaking today. For which political benefit, today theCongress party has stood with those who want to break this country.”

In an emailed statement, LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted chiefMahmood Shah saying that they agreed with Azad and others.

They wrote: “We have been of the same opinion as of the expressions ofGhulam Nabi Azad and others since the beginning. India is up to bringingback the era of Jagmohan by imposing the Governor law so as to sabotage theinfrastructure and commit massacre of innocents. It is a move to furtherintensify the mass killings.”

The outfit chief dubbed the recent Ramzan ceasefire ‘drama’.

The statement also criticised Mehbooba Mufti and said: “Mehbooba Mufti hasstrived to her excellence in establishing the agenda of RSS in the Valleyand Jammu. 8 lakh Indian forces are committing atrocities in Jammu Kashmir.

The people are being suppressed down into slavery by excessive force. Butthe immense sacrifices by the people of Jammu Kashmir have rendered thelikes of Operation All-Out as complete failures. The cease-fire was merelydrama. It was intended for covert targets, not for the peacekeepingdevelopments.”

The statement alleged that ‘India was committing gross human rightsviolations in Jammu and Kashmir for 7 decades’.

Speaking to Zee News, Subramanian Swamy compared the incident to the 2005Wikileaks cable when Rahul Gandhi reportedly told the American embassy thatHindu terror is more dangerous than LeT.

He further said: “This is their old belief.”

He also mentioned that Mani Shankar Aiyar had gone to Pakistan but he stillhadn’t been fired.”
