ISLAMABAD – Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak says all stages of Malam Jabbaand BRT projects were executed in the most transparent, cost effective andefficient manner strictly in consonance with the applicable rules andregulations.
In a statement, he said certain uncalled for remarks were purportedly givenabout him in Javed Chaudhry’s column implying him involvement in corruptioncases in reference to an interview allegedly given by Chairman NAB to thecolumnist.
The Defence Minister said despite prolonged investigations by NAB, it couldnot find an iota of evidence regarding any financial embezzlement on hispart.
The statement said that Pervaiz Khattak has authorized his lawyer BarristerMasroor Shah to get his viewpoint regarding all NAB inquiries andinvestigations against him.
