NEW DELHI – The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday successfully fired theBrahMos air version missile from its frontline Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft.

The IAF had in 2017 successfully fired the BrahMos air versionanti-shipping missile from Su-30 MKI off the Eastern Coast.
After it fired the missile, the IAF became the first Air Force in the worldto have successfully fired an air-launched 2.8 Mach surface attack missileof this category.
The air-launched BrahMos missile is a 2.5-ton supersonic air to surfacecruise missile with ranges of more than 400 kms.
