Good News on weather front for next 72 hours

ISLAMABAD – The weather across the country is likely to remain mainly hotand dry whereas few hailstorms with dust-thunderstorms and rain areexpected at scattered places including the federal capital.

According to the Met Office, the existing weather condition was due to ashallow westerly wave affecting western parts of the country and likely togrip upper and central parts of the country tonight and might persistduring next 3 days.

Dust-thunderstorm and rain (with few hailstorm) is expected at scatteredplaces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat,Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions) Punjab (Bahawalpur, Multan, D.G.Khan, Sahiwal,Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions), Islamabadand Kashmir, while at isolated places in Quetta, Kalat, Zhob divisions andGilgit Baltistan during next 24 hours. Hot and dry weather is expected inelsewhere in the country.

The weather during the past 24 hours remained hot and dry in most parts ofthe country. However, dust-thunderstorm and rain occurred at isolatedplaces in Quetta, Kalat, Zhob, Bahawalpur and Larkana divisions.

The rainfall (mm) recorded in the last 24 hours was Balochistan: Kalat 13,Barkhan 3, Panjgur, Quetta 1, Sindh: Larkana 2, Moenjodaro 1, Punjab:Bahawalnager 2.

The highest maximum temperatures were recorded in Shaheed Benazirabad 44°C,Jaccobabad , Dadu, Moenjodaro, Hyderabad, Padidan, Chhor, Sukkur, Rohri,Mithi and R.Y.Khan 43°C.
