LONDON: Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali faces a setback in England, areport has revealed.

He is facing an injury scare before the Test match against England to beplayed at Lord’s from May 24.

The right-arm pacer injured his hand during the two-day practice matchagainst Leicestershire while attempting a catch, the team management said.

According to physiotherapist of Pakistani team, Cliffe Deacon, Ali splitthe webbing between the thumb and index finger. The medical team assessedthe injury and gave two stitches as precautionary measures.

“We would try to keep Hasan away from practice on Tuesday and give him achance to heal the injury,” Deacon said, adding that at this point the fastbowler is available for selection in the squad for the first match.
