Government pressure did not work in the case of the allegedthreatening letter. Ambassador Asad Majeed, the former Pakistaniambassador to the United States has refused to surrender beforegovernment pressure.
According to details, an important meeting of the National SecurityCommittee was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister ShahbazSharif in which the three service chiefs and federal ministersparticipated.
During the meeting, former ambassador Asad Majeed briefed on thealleged threatening letter. Despite government pressure, Asad Majeedstood his ground and said that it was a fact that threatening languagewas used in the letter.
“How can I say this is not an interference in internal affairs,” he added.
