RIYADH – Rules on the use of recreational drones are being finalised inSaudi Arabia, according to a senior official.

A spokesman of the Ministry of Interior told the official Saudi PressAgency (SPA) on Sunday has pointed out that the regulations on usingremote-controlled “drones” are in their final stages and being prepared forapproval.

The official also called on enthusiasts using recreational drones to obtainthe necessary permission from the police their neighbourhoods which wouldthen authorise them to use drones for specific purposes and in permittedsites.

The spokesman said that this measure will be temporary until the issuanceof permanent the regulations, the SPA reported
